House sharing for older adults?

In our recent post "Is LivingSocial Social?," we discussed how "deal" sites do little to reduce social isolation.  In fact, their business models hinge on promoting anti-social products, services, and customer service (e.g. hair dryers and chimney sweeping services).

It was that post that led me to the AARP video below, which is simply awesome.  House sharing and roommate matching for older adults living alone is a great concept: it is good for the wallet (saves money), the environment (reduces consumption), and health (reduces social isolation and strengthens informal safety net).
